(Matthew 5:3 NIV) “Blessed are the poor in spirit, for theirs is the kingdom of heaven.”

(Matthew 5:3 NLT) “God blesses those who are poor and realise their need for him, for the Kingdom of Heaven is theirs.”

(Mark 10:21-23 NLT) Looking at the man, Jesus felt genuine love for him. “There is still one thing you haven’t done,” he told him. “Go and sell all your possessions and give the money to the poor, and you will have treasure in heaven.
