Help - My Mouth is on Fire!

(English) In this message Ps Rod talks the power of the mouth about in these 3 points:

(Psalm 34:1 NKJV) I will bless the Lord at all times; His praise shall continually be in my mouth.

1) My mouth is a Fire! - For Harm or Empowerment -

(James 3:5-11 NIV) Likewise, the tongue is a small part of the body, but it makes great boasts. Consider what a great forest is set on fire by a small spark. (6) The tongue also is a fire, a world of evil among the parts of the body. It corrupts the whole body, sets the whole course of one’s life on fire, and is itself set on fire by hell. (7) All kinds of animals, birds, reptiles and sea creatures are being tamed and have been tamed by mankind, (8) but no human being can tame the tongue. It is a restless evil, full of deadly poison. (9) With the tongue we praise our Lord and Father, and with it we curse human beings, who have been made in God’s likeness. (10) Out of the same mouth come praise and cursing. My brothers and sisters, this should not be. (11) Can both fresh water and salt water flow from the same spring?

2) Jesus Speaks of Mouth + Heart

(Matthew 12:33-34 NIV) Make a tree good and its fruit will be good, or make a tree bad and its fruit will be bad, for a tree is recognized by its fruit. (34) You brood of vipers, how can you who are evil say anything good? For the mouth speaks what the heart is full of.

Isaiah's Story

-The before and after story of a mouth on fire

-After being an amazing prophet for many years, Isaiah needs a refreshing touch on his mouth.

(Isaiah 1:18 NIV) “Come now, let us settle the matter,”says the Lord. “Though your sins are like scarlet, they shall be as white as snow; though they are red as crimson, they shall be like wool.

(Isaiah 6:1-9 NIV) In the year that King Uzziah died, I saw the Lord, high and exalted, seated on a throne; and the train of his robe filled the temple. (2) Above him were seraphim, each with six wings: With two wings they covered their faces, with two they covered their feet, and with two they were flying. (3) And they were calling to one another:“Holy, holy, holy is the Lord Almighty; the whole earth is full of his glory.”(4) At the sound of their voices the doorposts and thresholds shook and the temple was filled with smoke.(5) “Woe to me!” I cried. “I am ruined! For I am a man of unclean lips, and I live among a people of unclean lips, and my eyes have seen the King, the LordAlmighty.”(6) Then one of the seraphim flew to me with a live coal in his hand, which he had taken with tongs from the altar. (7) With it he touched my mouth and said, “See, this has touched your lips; your guilt is taken away and your sin atoned for.”(8) Then I heard the voice of the Lord saying, “Whom shall I send? And who will go for us?”And I said, “Here am I. Send me!”(9) He said, “Go and tell this people: “ ‘Be ever hearing, but never understanding; be ever seeing, but never perceiving.’

Peter's Story:

(Matthew 26:33 NIV) Peter replied, “Even if all fall away on account of you, I never will.”

(Mark 14:71 NIV) He began to call down curses, and he swore to them, “I don’t know this man you’re talking about.”

(Acts 2:1-4 NIV) When the day of Pentecost came, they were all together in one place. (2) Suddenly a sound like the blowing of a violent wind came from heaven and filled the whole house where they were sitting. (3) They saw what seemed to be tongues of fire that separated and came to rest on each of them. (4) All of them were filled with the Holy Spirit and began to speak in other tongues as the Spirit enabled them.

(Acts 2:11 NIV) (both Jews and converts to Judaism); Cretans and Arabs—we hear them declaring the wonders of God in our own tongues!

(Acts 2:14 NIV) Then Peter stood up with the Eleven, raised his voice and addressed the crowd: “Fellow Jews and all of you who live in Jerusalem, let me explain this to you; listen carefully to what I say.

(Acts 2:37 NIV) When the people heard this, they were cut to the heart and said to Peter and the other apostles, “Brothers, what shall we do?”

3) Refreshing = Healing, Correcting, Adjusting

1. Start Now

2. Start Everyday

(Matthew 6:9 NIV) This, then, is how you should pray: “‘Our Father in heaven, hallowed be your name…

3. Be Filled

(Ephesians 5:18-20 NIV) Do not get drunk on wine, which leads to debauchery. Instead, be filled with the Spirit, (19) speaking to one another with psalms, hymns, and songs from the Spirit. Sing and make music from your heart to the Lord, (20) always giving thanks to God the Father for everything, in the name of our Lord Jesus Christ.
