人を愛するってどういうこと？ - What does it mean to love others?

ルカ10:25-29 JCB

ある日、律法の専門家がやって来て、イエスを試そうとしました。「先生。お聞きしたいのですが、永遠のいのちを受けるには、何をしたらよろしいでしょうか。(26)「モーセの律法には、何と書いてありますか。」(27)「『心を尽くし、たましいを尽くし、力を尽くし、思いを尽くして、あなたの神である主を愛しなさい』、それに、『自分自身を愛するように、あなたの隣人を愛しなさい』とありますが。」(28)「そう、そのとおりにすればいいのです。そうすれば、永遠のいのちを得られます。」(29)しかし律法の専門家は、自分がある人々を愛していないことを正当化しようと、「隣人とはだれのことですか？」と聞き返しました。

イエスは直接答える代わりに、たとえを話されました。「エルサレムからエリコへ旅をしていたユダヤ人が、強盗に襲われました。強盗どもは、身ぐるみはぎ取り、あり金全部を奪うと、その人を殴ったり、蹴ったりして半殺しにし、道ばたに放り出して逃げて行きました。(31) ちょうどそこへ、ユダヤの祭司が通りかかりました。ふと見ると、旅人が倒れています。でも、めんどうに巻き込まれたくなかったので、道の反対側へ回り、何くわぬ顔で通り過ぎてしまいました。(32) しばらくすると、今度はレビ人（神殿で奉仕する人）が通りかかりましたが、彼も、倒れている旅人を横目でちらりとながめただけで行ってしまいました。(33) ところが、常日頃ユダヤ人に軽蔑されていたサマリヤ人がたまたま通りかかり、旅人を見つけました。その人をかわいそうに思ったサマリヤ人は、(34) 急いでそばに近づいて、傷口に薬をぬり、包帯を巻いて応急手当をしました。それから自分のろばに乗せ、宿屋まで運んで、一晩中、看病してあげました。(35) 翌日、宿屋の主人にデナリ銀貨二枚を渡し、『あの人を介抱してあげてください。足りない分は、私が帰りに寄って払いますから』と頼みました。

 

ルカ10:36-37 JCB

この三人のうちだれが、強盗に襲われた人の隣人になったと思いますか。」 (37) 律法の専門家は答えました。「もちろん、親切にしてやった人です。」この答えを聞くと、イエスは言われました。「そのとおりです。あなたも同じようにしなさい。」

 

人を愛する＝相手が誰であれ、その人の必要を満たす

人を愛する＝自分の持っているものを使って助ける

急いでそばに近づいて、傷口に薬をぬり、包帯を巻いて応急手当をしました。それから自分のろばに乗せ、宿屋まで運んで、一晩中、看病してあげました。(35) 翌日、宿屋の主人にデナリ銀貨二枚を渡し、『あの人を介抱してあげてください。足りない分は、私が帰りに寄って払いますから』と頼みました。

(32) A Temple assistant walked over and looked at him lying there, but he also passed by on the other side.(33) “Then a despised Samaritan came along, and when he saw the man, he felt compassion for him.(34) Going over to him, the Samaritan soothed his wounds with olive oil and wine and bandaged them. Then he put the man on his own donkey and took him to an inn, where he took care of him.(35) The next day he handed the innkeeper two silver coins, telling him, ‘Take care of this man. If his bill runs higher than this, I’ll pay you the next time I’m here.’
